Castle è una serie tv, creata nel 2009 da Andrew Marlowe per l’ABC, che fece il suo debutto televisivo il 9 marzo 2009 negli Stati Uniti (in Italia la serie è arrivata nell’autunno dello stesso anno su Fox Life). I protagonisti sono Stana Katic, il detective Kate Backett, e Nathan Fillion, lo scrittore Richard Castle. I due protagonisti risolvono gli omicidi che arrivano al dipartimento di polizia di New York, grazie all’intuito di lei e alla creatività di lui.
Trama
Richard Castle è un famoso scrittore di libri gialli che un giorno viene chiamato dal NYPD in aiuto della detective Kate Beckett per risolvere un caso copiato dalla trama di un suo libro. Dopo la risoluzione dell’omicidio, Castle decide di chiedere all’amico sindaco il permesso di affiancare permanentemente Beckett nella risoluzione dei casi.
Lo scrittore deciderà poi di prendere la detective come musa per la sua nuova serie di romanzi e, con la scusa di cogliere i trucchi del mestiere, diventerà l’asso nella manica per la sezione omicidi di New York.
Dopo i primi dissidi Beckett e Castle instaureranno un profondo legame d’amicizia, che ben presto sfocierà in qualcosa di più profondo.
